CARS AND SNEAKERS

3000,00
This is a book about how culture influences design: how the oil crisis affected architecture, how discoveries in space affected the colour of sneakers, and how baroque painting affected the fashion of the seventies.

Our intention is to demonstrate that trends in the development of culture can be studied by putting the heroes of Santa Barbara and the paintings of the Sistine Chapel side by side, because there is a connection between these, and it is the task of the bold and subjective storyteller to reveal it.

Using different models of cars and sneakers as examples, we will tell the story of the "great migration of images" — a story of how ideas implemented tens, hundreds or thousands of years ago come to be embodied again and again and again.

Taken together, this provides a peculiar cultural impression that looks like a collage and works like a construction kit — a tool for developing the thinking of the future.
